November 5, 2010 journal, the showcasing of my artwork by Upstate Visual Arts in West Greenville. I am delighted that such an appropriate selection was made of my art by the new director Allison Spiesman. Allison has 2 art degrees and has recently moved here from Florida to rebuild the local artist league along with building arts in West Greenville. My 7 Days of Creation 3 by 4 ft. series was displayed along with my semi abstract with the musical notes called What A Mighty Fortress Is Our God written by Martin Luther. This painting is 4 x 4 feet and may be the most pleasant to behold of any of my work. I met Alison and her friend Brian the artist at downtown Disney House of Blues art show. Alison selected 22 of my paintings to exhibit in this presentation of my artwork for show as a visionary artist to the public and to the member artists to exhibit in their historical Morgan House gallery and headquarters for Upstate Visual Arts. West Greenville is a crossroad between mill villages within the perimeter of Greenville city on Pendleton St. The show opened on first Friday night with 140 galleries in Greenville to exhibit 30 days. I have been painting for 21 years and have produced about 3000 pieces of art if you can call it art. I have never really called it art or thought of it as being art but it is my mission and my ministry. Art is the greatest means of communication & education in my opinion. I say thank-you to all the wonderful people my painting art has introduced me to other- wise I would never have known. Thanks to all that gave me a hand and thanks to the Las Vegas Art Museum, City Museum in St. Louis and the Campus Crusade for Christ of Europe for showing my Revelation Revealed II in the Expo 2000 Lausanne, Switzerland. Thanks to the Salt Fish Museum in Iceland for showing my art there also. Thanks to the South Carolina E T V and Kansas City E.T.V. for extensive coverage. I thank the Greenville Tech Gallery on the river for showing one piece of my artwork. I thank cable TV for a 30 minute documentary of my artwork in 1994 from Furman U. Thanks to the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore for commissioning my largest series of the 7 Days of Creation hanging in their permanent collection. Each day is 12 x 16 feet. Truly creating art for me is a miracle only the creator God could provide. Thanks to the Greenville News, the South Carolina State newspaper, The Washington Post & many other publications giving me generous coverage, the Jacksonville Weekly. The Milano Italy newspaper. I have lost count of them all. My painting art has just begun. At least one favorable comment in reply-"Great testimony to your work and mission and more importantly to YAHWEH's power to "save by many or by few" (I Sam 14:6) as he uses us flawed vessels to do his work in the world..May the LORD prosper your work to bear fruit long after our days on this earth are past. That is such a wonderful thought as generally the influence of most people ends at death. The influence of the artist and the value of his work begins at death.
